मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी 31 मई तक चंपावत उप चुनाव में व्यस्त हैं। इसके बाद तीन जून को उप चुनाव का परिणाम आने है। दूसरी तरफ विधानसभा सत्र शुरू करने के लिए पहले यह प्रस्ताव कैबिनेट बैठक में भी लाया जाना है। हालांकि, मुख्यमंत्री धामी विचलन के जरिए भी इस प्रस्ताव को हरी झंडी दे सकते हैं, लेकिन सरकार के सामने सबसे अहम सवाल 10 जून को होने वाला राज्यसभा चुनाव है।

प्रस्तावित तिथि से सरकार यदि विस सत्र को हरी झंडी देती है तो फिर चुनाव संपन्न कराने के लिए विधानसभा स्टाफ को एक दिन पहले ही देहरादून आना पड़ेगा। अगर चुनाव निर्विरोध नहीं होते तो फिर विधायकों को भी देहरादून आना पड़ेगा। ऐसे में सरकार भी फिलहाल दुविधा में है।

सूत्रों ने बताया कि राज्यसभा चुनाव के मद्देनजर सरकार सत्र की तिथि आगे बढ़ा सकती है। वहीं, चारधाम यात्रा में भी इस बार रिकार्ड तीर्थयात्री पहुंच रहे हैं। सरकारी अमला भी यदि गैरसैँण पहुंचाता है तो फिर पुलिस के सामने चुनौतियां बढ़ सकती हैं। उधर, 15 जून से मानसून सीजन भी शुरू होने जा रहा है। फिर बजट सत्र गैरसैंण में होगा या देहरादून में, इसे लेकर भी अभी स्थिति साफ होनी बाकी है

भाजपा के टिहरी विधायक किशोर उपाध्याय ने मुख्यमंत्री धामी से बात कर सत्र की तिथि आगे बढ़ाने की गुजारिश की है। किशोर ने संसदीय कार्यमंत्री को भी ज्ञापन भेजा है, जिसमें उन्होंने कहा कि चारधाम यात्रा और राज्यसभा चुनाव के चलते सत्र को आगे बढ़ाया जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि चारधाम यात्रा और विधानसभा का सत्र दोनों महत्वपूर्ण कार्य हैं। इससे पुलिस अफसर भी चिंतित हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि गैरसैंण के बजाय देहरादून में भी सत्र बुलाया जा सकता है।
