शांतिप्रिय शहरों में गिना जाने वाला देहरादून आठ साल बाद फिर परिवार के पांच सदस्यों की हत्या की घटना से दहल गया है। आरोपित के प्रति हर किसी के दिल में गुस्सा है।
लोगों का कहना है कि आरोपित का पत्नी के साथ झगड़ा हुआ था तो उसमें मासूम बच्चों व मां का क्या कसूर था।
बेरहमी से कर दी थी हत्या
सोमवार की घटना ने आठ साल पहले दीपावली से एक दिन पहले देहरादून के आदर्श नगर में हुए हत्याकांड की याद ताजा कर दी है। इस घटना में हरमीत ने पिता जय सिंह, सौतेली मां कुलवंत कौर, गर्भवती बहन हरजीत कौर और तीन साल की भांजी सुखमणि की बेरहमी से हत्या कर दी थी।
दहल उठा था पूरा देहरादून
इस घटना से पूरा देहरादून दहल उठा था। कई महीनों तक दूनवासियों में इस घटना को लेकर चर्चा रही। वहीं जिस घर में इस हत्याकांड को अंजाम दिया गया था, उसका ताला आज तक नहीं खुल पाया है।
- दरअसल, आदर्श नगर निवासी कारोबारी जय सिंह ने दो शादी की थीं।
- उनकी पहली पत्नी कुलवंत कौर से कोई संतान नहीं हुई।
- ऐसे में जय सिंह के छोटे भाई अजीत ने अपनी बेटी हरजीत के पैदा होने के कुछ दिन बाद ही जय सिंह को गोद दे दिया था।
- इसके बाद जय सिंह की पहचान सहारनपुर निवासी अनीता से हुई। उन्होंने अनीता से दूसरी शादी कर ली।
- जय सिंह और अनीता के दो बेटे हुए। उसमें हरमीत बड़ा था।
रहने लगी थी अनबन
हरमीत के जन्म के कुछ समय बाद ही अनीता और जय सिंह में अनबन रहने लगी। बात तलाक तक पहुंच गई। जय सिंह ने हरमीत को पाने और तलाक के लिए अनीता से दस साल तक कोर्ट में कानूनी लड़ाई लड़ी। अंत में जब फैसला हुआ तो कोर्ट ने हरमीत को जय सिंह की कस्टडी में दे दिया।
- वहीं, अनीता और दूसरे बेटे की परवरिश के लिए जय सिंह को उन्हें 50 लाख रुपये देने पड़े।
- इसके बाद हरमीत जैसे-जैसे बड़ा होता गया, उसके अंदर संपत्ति का लालच पनपने लगा।
- जय सिंह बेटी हरजीत को बहुत प्यार करते थे।
ऐसे में हरमीत को यह डर सताने लगा कि कहीं जय सिंह अपनी संपत्ति हरजीत के नाम न कर दें। इसको लेकर हरमीत और हरजीत के बीच अक्सर झगड़ा भी होता था। इसी संपत्ति के लालच में हरमीत ने दीपावली वाले दिन इस दिल दहला देने वाली घटना को अंजाम दे डाला।
आरोपित ने बेरहमी से स्वजनों की हत्या की। उसने सबसे अधिक 27 वार सौतेली मां पर किए। पिता पर 24, गर्भवती बहन पर 24 और भांजी पर 10 वार किए। उसने हरजीत के पेट में चाकू से कई वार किए, जिससे उसके गर्भ में पल रहे बच्चे की भी मौत हो गई।
कोर्ट ने माना जघन्य अपराध, फांसी की सजा दी
परिवार के पांच सदस्यों की हत्या करने वाले हरमीत सिंह को अपर सत्र न्यायाधीश (पंचम) आशुतोष कुमार मिश्र की अदालत ने पांच अक्टूबर 2021 को फांसी की सजा सुनाई। अदालत ने गर्भस्थ शिशु की मौत को भी हत्या करार दिया। सहायक जिला शासकीय अधिवक्ता राजीव कुमार गुप्ता ने बताया कि अदालत ने इस मामले को रेयरेस्ट आफ द रेयर मानते हुए फैसला सुनाया।
सैलानी जोड़े की हत्या से दहला था देहरादून
22 अक्तूबर 2014 पश्चिम बंगाल की रहने वाली एक युवती अपने दोस्त अभिजीत के साथ चकराता घूमने आई थी। दोनों चकराता में चुंगी के पास टाइगर फाल जाने के लिए वाहन बुक करने की सोच रहे थे। यहां उन्हें बोलेरो चालक राजू दास निवासी टुंगरोली चकराता मिला। उसके वाहन में लोखंडी की सवारियां भी थीं।
जिस पर राजू ने इन सवारियों को छोड़कर उन्हें टाइगर फाल ले जाने की बात कही। जिस पर मोमिता और अभिजीत चलने को तैयार हो गए। लौटते वक्त राजू के वाहन में तीन अन्य युवक भी सवार हो गए। रास्ते में युवकों ने युवती से बोलेरो में ही दुष्कर्म किया और गला घोंटकर उसे भी मौत के घाट उतार दिया।
