एसटीएफ के एसएसपी अजय सिंह के अनुसार इस मामले में 33वां आरोपी संजय राणा यूकेएसएसएससी में पीआरडी कर्मचारी के रूप में काम कर चुका है। वह चमोली जिले के भीमताल का रहने वाला है।
संजय राणा ने वर्ष 2014 से 2022 अप्रैल तक यूकेसीएसएससी में पीआरडी कर्मचारी नियुक्त था। उसने पीआरडी कर्मचारी मनोज जोशी के साथ मिलकर अपने घर में लखनऊ से लीक पेपर की फोटो कॉपी करवाई थी और इस एग्जाम में कैंडीडेट अपनी पत्नी को पेपर उपलब्ध करवाया था। आरोपी की पत्नी ने यह एग्जाम निकाल लिया था। एसटीएफ के अनुसार उसे बयान और टेक्निकल साक्ष्य के आधार पर अरेस्ट किया गया है।

एसटीएफ अनुसार आरोपी के कब्जे से फोटो कॉपी मशीन और सीपीयू बरामद हुआ है। एसटीएफ के एसएसपी के अनुसार गिरफ्तार किये जाने वाले कर्मचारियों से लगातार पूछताछ की जा रही है और इस पूछताछ में कई अन्य नाम भी सामने आ रहे हैं। जरूरत पडऩे पर ऐसे सभी लोगों से पूछताछ की जा सकती है या उन्हें गिरफ्तार भी किया जा सकता है।
विधानसभा नियुक्तियों की जांच
इस बीच विधानसभा में बैकडोर से की गई नियुक्तियों को लेकर भी लगातार मामला गर्म है। सीएम ने इस विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ऋतु खंडूड़ी को पत्र लिखकर विधानसभा में अब तक हुई नियुक्तियों ने जांच करने का कहा था। विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ने सैटरडे को इन नियुक्तियों की जांच के लिए एक कमेटी का गठन करने की घोषणा की। उन्होंने कहा कि कमेटी की रिपोर्ट आने के बाद इस मामले में आगे की कार्यवाही की जाएगी। तीन सदस्यीय इस कमेटी का अध्यक्ष दिलीप कुमार कोठिया को बनाया गया है। सुरेन्द्र रावत और अवनेन्द्र नयाल कमेटी के सदस्य होंगे। इस मामले की जांच पूरी होने तक विधानसभा सचिव मुकेश सिंघल को फोर्स लीव पर भेजा गया है।
