देहरादून:- उत्तराखंड में कांग्रेस के प्रदेश उपाध्यक्ष पद और पार्टी की प्राथमिक सदस्यता से इस्तीफा देने के बाद जोत सिंह बिष्ट ने आज 6 मई को ही दिल्ली में आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) की सदस्यता ले ली है। जोत सिंह बिष्ट के साथ उनके बेटे भी आप में शामिल हुए हैं। जोत सिंह बिष्ट ने कहा कि दिल्ली सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल की राजनीति और कार्यों से प्रभावित होकर वे आप में शामिल हुए हैं। जोत सिंह बिष्ट के बेटे हिम्मत सिंह बिष्ट को भी उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने आप की सदस्यता दिलाई है।
आपको बता दें कि जोत सिंह बिष्ट की गिनती उत्तराखंड के वरिष्ठ नेताओं में होती है। पिछले कई सालों से वे उत्तराखंड के अंदर कांग्रेस में प्रदेश उपाध्यक्ष के पद पर काबिज थे।
हाल ही में हुए उत्तराखंड विधानसभा चुनाव 2022 में वे कांग्रेस के टिकट पर टिहरी जिले की धनौल्टी विधानसभा सीट से चुनाव लड़े थे। हालांकि, इस चुनाव में जीत नहीं पाए थे और उन्हें हार का सामना करना पड़ा था।
दरअसल, जोत सिंह बिष्ट ने कांग्रेस प्रदेश कार्यकारणी की कार्यप्रणाली से दु:खी होकर पार्टी की सदस्यता से इस्तीफा दे दिया था। जोत सिंह बिष्ट उत्तराखंड विधानसभा चुनाव 2022 के बाद से ही लगातार भितरघात होने की शिकायत पार्टी के भीतर करते रहे हैं, लेकिन उनकी अब तक कोई भी सुनवाई नहीं हुई है। जोत सिंह बिष्ट पिछले कई सालों से कांग्रेस में प्रदेश उपाध्यक्ष की जिम्मेदारी संभाल रहे थे। करीब 40 साल से पार्टी के सदस्य रहे। हालांकि अब जोत सिंह बिष्ट ने कांग्रेस में कोई बड़ी जिम्मेदारी नहीं मिलने और पार्टी हाईकमान की तरफ से सुनवाई न करने से दु:खी होकर पार्टी छोड़ने का फैसला लिया था।
वहीं, कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता और पूर्व सीएम हरीश रावत ने भी जोत सिंह बिष्ट के पार्टी छोड़ने पर दु:ख व्यक्त किया है। हरीश रावत ने कहा था कि वे जोत सिंह बिष्ट को मनाने का प्रयास कर रहे है। उनकी नाराजगी को जल्द दूर करने के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। लेकिन उससे पहले ही जोत सिंह बिष्ट ने आम आदमी पार्टी का दामन थाम लिया है।
