पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री व हरिद्वार लोकसभा सांसद डॉ. रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक ने जिला पंचायत चुनाव में भाजपा की जीत को ऐतिहासिक बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि यह हरिद्वार के इतिहास में पहली बार है कि पंचायतों में इनती बड़ी संख्या में कार्यकर्ता चुनकर आए हैं।
पार्टी ग्राम प्रधान से लेकर ब्लाक प्रमुख तक सभी को साथ लेकर चलेगी। निशंक ने कहा कि अब पार्टी जिला पंचायत का बोर्ड भी बनाएगी।
बता दें कि देर शाम तक जिला पंचायत की 44 सीटों में से 26 सीटों के जो नतीजे आए हैं, उनमें सर्वाधिक 14 सीटें लेकर भाजपा फिलहाल सबसे आगे है। नौ सीटों के साथ बसपा उसे टक्कर दे रही है। दो सीटों पर कांग्रेस और एक पर आप ने जीत दर्ज कर ली है।
इस जीत ने भाजपा की विधानसभा चुनाव की हार के जख्म पर मरहम का काम किया है। विधानसभा चुनाव में भाजपा 11 में से तीन सीटों पर सिमट गई थी, जबकि 2017 में उसने आठ सीटें जीतीं थीं। बकौल भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष महेंद्र भट्ट, यह जीत 2024 के चुनाव के लिए संजीवनी का काम करेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि जनता ने मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी की मेहनत और काम को सराहते हुए उन्हें ये उपहार दिया है।
