प्रदेश में पुलों की हिफाजत के लिए उनके एक किमी तक खनन पर रोक लगाने का शासन का आदेश चार दिन में ही रद्द कर दिया गया और नए आदेश में कहा गया कि चुगान नीति के तहत खनन हो सकेगा।
नीति में नदी पुल के अपस्ट्रीम और डाउनस्ट्रीम की 100 मीटर की दूरी पर ही चुगान व खनन की अनुमति है।
बता दें कि 15 सितंबर को प्रमुख सचिव लोनिवि ने सभी जिलाधिकारियों को निर्देश जारी किए थे कि पुलों के दोनों ओर एक-एक किमी तक खनन प्रतिबंधित होगा। यह आदेश उन्होंने लोनिवि के करोड़ों की लागत से बनाए गए पुलों को हो रहे नुकसान के मद्देनजर दिए। सूत्रों के मुताबिक, मानसून के दौरान ऐसे 32 से अधिक पुलों को नुकसान पहुंचा। जिसकी एक प्रमुख वजह पुलों के नजदीक खनन कार्य होना माना गया।
प्रमुख सचिव के आदेश से मची खलबली

अवैध खनन पर होगी कार्रवाई
आदेश में कहा गया कि पुलों के आसपास अवैध खनन के कारण पुलों के क्षतिग्रस्त होने की घटनाएं सामने आई हैं। नीति के तहत पुलों के आसपास होने वाले अवैध खनन के विरुद्ध भी नियमित कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित की जाएगी।
अब पुलों से 100 मीटर दूर होगा खनन
उत्तराखंड उप खनन चुगान नीति 2016 के तहत यह प्रावधान है कि नदी पुलों के पास 100 मीटर अपस्ट्रीम और डाउनस्ट्रीम की दूरी पर खनन कार्य हो सकेगा।
