निर्वाचित सरकार में पहले साल 2002-03 में माननीयों के वेतन भत्ते पर एक साल का जो कुल खर्चा 80 लाख रुपये का था, वो अब बढ़कर हर साल 14 से 15 करोड़ तक पहुंचने लगा है। हालत ये है कि ये कुल खर्चा अब तक करीब 100 करोड़ पर पहुंच चुका है। अब इस स्थिति पर विशेषज्ञ भी चिंता जता रहे हैं।
प्रदेश पर 72 हजार करोड़ का कर्ज
यह हाल तब है जब उत्तराखंड पर 72 हजार करोड़ के लगभग का कर्ज है और अगर यही हालत रही तो अगले 3 साल में ये कर्ज 1 लाख करोड़ों रुपये के पास पहुंच जाएगा। राज्य की हालत ये है कि वेतन और पेंशन पर सबसे ज्यादा बजट का हिस्सा जाता है। राज्य सरकार का टोटल राजस्व वह यानी कुल बजट का 50 फीसद वेतन और पेंशन पर खर्च हो जाता है और विधायक कहते है ये सीएम का विवेक है कि वो विधायकों के खर्चे कम करते है या नहीं।
