आपको बता दें कि अल्मोड़ा जिले में करीब 1,14,037 किसानों को प्रधानमंत्री किसान सम्मान निधि का लाभ मिल रहा है। ऐसे में अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों की बड़ी लापरवाही सामने आई है। जिसमें 300 मृतक किसानों के खाते में भी सीधे किसान सम्मान निधि भेजी जा रही थी। हैरत की बात यह है कि किसान सम्मान निधि का लाभ ले रहे कई लाभर्थियों की मौत के बावजूद परिजनों ने कृषि विभाग को इसकी जानकारी नहीं दी। न ही संबंधित विभाग ने इसके बारे में किसी तरह का संज्ञान लेने की जरूरत समझी। इसके चलते मृतकों के खातों में लंबे समय से किसान सम्मान निधि की किस्त आती रही है। मामला सामने आने के बाद अब विभिन्न अपात्र लोगों के साथ-साथ अब ऐसे केसों में कृषि विभाग ने परिजनों से वसूली शुरू कर दी है। कृषि विभाग मृतकों के खाते बंद कर उनके परिजनों से वसूली करने में जुटा है।
लापरवाही का आलम यह है कि किसान सम्मान निधि वितरित करने वाले विभागों के पास किसानों के सत्यापन की कोई सटीक व्यवस्था न होने के चलते सम्मान निधि वितरण में यह गड़बड़ घोटाला हो रहा है। यहां किसान सम्मान निधि का लाभ ले रहे अपात्र लोग तो इसके लिए जिम्मेदार हैं ही साथ ही तहसील से लेकर जिला मुख्यालय तक संबंधित विभागों की लापरवाही भी इसके लिए जिम्मेदार है।
