दीपावली पर पटाखों के कारण जगह-जगह लगी आग के कारण पूरी रात फायर ब्रिगेड की टीम दौड़ती रही। रविवार रात से लेकर सोमवार सुबह तक आग की 18 से अधिक घटनाएं हुईं, जहां फायर ब्रिगेड की टीमों ने आग पर पाया गया।
दीपावली की रात सबसे पहले सहस्रधारा रोड स्थित ट्रंचिंग ग्राउंड में कूड़े के ढेर पर आग लगी। मौके पर पहुंची फायर ब्रिगेड की टीम ने आग पर काबू पाया।
इसके बाद शमशेरगढ़ बालावाला में एक मकान पर आग लग गई, जहां फायर ब्रिगेड की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और घर पर मौजूद सभी लोगों को बाहर निकालकर आग पर काबू पाया। इस दौरान घर का काफी सामान जल गया। इसके बाद राजपुर रोड स्थित पैरामिड बार की लिफ्ट में एक व्यक्ति के फंसे होने की सूचना मिली। टीम ने बड़ी मशक्कत के बाद उसे बाहर निकाला।

वहीं, बालावाला नत्थुवाला व जीएमएस रोड वसंत विहार में खाली प्लाट में आग लगने की सूचना पर फायर ब्रिगेड की टीम दौड़ी और आग बुझाई। दूसरी ओर एसबीआई प्रेमनगर में गायत्री ज्वेलर्स में आग लगने की सूचना मिली। यहां इनवर्टर फटने से काफी नुकसान हो गया। ऋषिविहार वसंत विहार में खाली कार में आग लगने से कार पूरी तरह से जल गई। राजेंद्र नगर लेन नंबर-4 के पीछे खाली प्लाट में आग लग गई। त्यागी रोड अभिनंदन होटल पंवार ढाबा में आग लग गई। इसकी सूचना फायर ब्रिगेड को काफी समय बाद लगी। फायर ब्रिगेड की टीम ने आग पर काबू पाया।
