उत्तराखंड में चुनाव संपन्न होने के बाद कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हरीश रावत उत्तर प्रदेश में पार्टी के प्रचार में जुट गए हैं। बुधवार को प्रयागराज पहुंचे हरीश रावत ने यूपी के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ पर तंज कसा और कहा कि हार के बाद उन्हें कुटिया बनाने के लिए उत्तराखंड में जमीन दे देंगे। उन्होंने यह भी दावा किया कि उत्तराखंड में बीजेपी की हार होगी।

चुनाव के नतीजे घोषित होने से पहले ही सीएम पद के लिए दावेदारी जताने में जुटे हरीश रावत ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड में कांग्रेस को बहुमत मिलेगा। उन्होंने यूपी में भी बीजेपी की हार का दावा करते हुए सीएम योगी पर कटाक्ष किया। हरीश रावत ने कहा, ”बीजेपी को उत्तराखंड से भगा दिया गया है। हम सीएम योगी को (यूपी में चुनाव हारने के बाद) उत्तराखंड में कुटिया बनाने के लिए जगह दे देंगे।” गौरतलब है कि योगी आदित्यनाथ का जन्म अविभाजित यूपी के पौड़ी गढ़वाल में हुआ था, जो अब उत्तराखंड में है।
उत्तराखंड के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता हरीश रावत ने सिविल लाइंस के एक होटल में पत्रकारों से बातचीत में कहा कि नेहरू परिवार की पांचवीं पीढ़ी जनता से सेवा का मौका मांग रही है, उसे भी मौका दें। उन्होंने कहा कि मोती लाल नेहरू, जवाहर लाल नेहरू, इंदिरा गांधी, राजीव गांधी के बाद अब राहुल और प्रियंका जनता की सेवा के लिए सामने आए हैं।

विधानसभा चुनाव के संदर्भ में हरीश रावत ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड में भाजपा को खदेड़ दिया और अब यूपी में भी ऐसा होगा। प्रयागराज त्रिवेणी संगम का क्षेत्र है। प्रयाग की माटी से कांग्रेस का पुराना नाता है। इस लगाव को अब ऊर्जा देने का वक्त आ गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा ने यूपी की जनता के अरमान रौंदने का काम किया। ऐसे में अब कांग्रेस ही एकमात्र विकल्प है। कोरोनाकाल में लोग बेबसी के हाल में घरों को लौटे। सरकार ने लोगों को मरने के लिए सड़कों पर छोड़ दिया था।
