जनरल बिपिन रावत के बाद लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल अनिल चौहान (सेनि.) देश के दूसरे चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ यानी सीडीएस नियुक्त किए गए हैं। वह मूलरूप से पौड़ी जिले के खिर्सू ब्लॉक के देवलगढ़ गवाणा के निवासी हैं। वर्तमान में वह दिल्ली में रहकर नेशनल सिक्योरिटी काउंसिल (एनएससी) में सैन्य सलाहकार की अहम जिम्मेदारी निभा रहे हैं।
