राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत ने आम बजट विधानसभा में पेश करते हुए पुरानी पेंशन बहाली की घोषणा की है। जिससे राजस्थान में राज्य कर्मचारियों के चेहरे खिल गए तो वहीं कई अन्य राज्यों में भी पुरानी पेंशन बहाली को लेकर उम्मीदें जग गई है। आपको बता दें कि 2004 से पहले जिस तरीके से कर्मचारियों को पुरानी पेंशन का लाभ मिलता था उसी प्रकार उसके बाद के कर्मचारियों को भी पुरानी पेंशन कल आप दिए जाने की घोषणा मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत ने अपने राज्य में कर्मचारियों को के लिए कर दी है।

हम सभी जानते हैं सरकारी सेवाओं से जुड़े कर्मचारी भविष्य के प्रति सुरक्षित महसूस करें तभी वे सेवाकाल में सुशासन के लिए अपना अमूल्य योगदान दे सकते हैं। अतः 1 जनवरी 2004 और उसके पश्चात नियुक्त हुए समस्त कार्मिकों के लिए मैं आगामी वर्ष से पूर्व पेंशन योजना लागू करने की घोषणा करता हूं।

उत्तराखंड में कर्मचारियों को आस बात अगर उत्तराखंड की करे तो उत्तराखंड में भी पुरानी पेंशन बहाली की मांग को लेकर कर्मचारी संगठन लंबे समय से आंदोलनरत हैं, ऐसे में कांग्रेस ने अपने घोषणा पत्र में विधानसभा चुनाव के समय पुरानी पेंशन बहाली की मांग को पूरा करने की भी घोषणा की है, ऐसे में कर्मचारियों की उम्मीद है उत्तराखंड में अगर कांग्रेस की सरकार आती है तो राजस्थान की तरह ही उत्तराखंड में भी कर्मचारियों को पुरानी पेंशन मिलने का लाभ मिल सकता है। लेकिन वह तभी संभव है जब उत्तराखंड में कांग्रेस की सरकार आए और कांग्रेस ने जो वादा कर्मचारियों से किया है उसे पूरा करें। हालांकि इससे पहले कर्मचारी संगठनों के द्वारा मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी को भी पुरानी पेंशन बहाली को बहाल करने की मांग की गई थी, जिस पर मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने केंद्र सरकार के समक्ष इस मांग को पूरा करने का
